Miss Nettles opened the cupboard door and jumped back. "Spiders!" she shrieked, "I can't stand them!" "I don't mind" the murmered the Doctor. "They mean no harm"

"Well, I can't abide them," Miss Nettles said, slamming the cupboard door."It's too late to start clearing them out tonight, but I'll do it first thing tomorrow morning."

In the middle of the night, when Doctor Snuggles was sure Miss Nettles was asleep, he crept downstairs and opened the cupboard door. "Good evening, spiders!" he whispered.

"You must all go to the attic at onece," he said. "You'll be safe there. But before you leave, I'll sprinkle this magic powder to help you spin a present for Miss Nettles."
